Black bricks are the originals and white is new. This was a church that was almost completely destroyed. The bricks are sandstone. Dresden was the most destroyed city in Germany after WWII.

My first DB train arrived late and caused me to miss my transfer train....I almost cried... OK I did cry. But they gave me a ticket for the nest train for free.

ps. played my first game of Catan in Germany and WON!!!
pps. Germany has opened my eyes to all the different ways of drinking beer. A turning point in my relationship with beer.
ppps. the extent of my german: 1 german drinking song, 1 german lullaby, counting, food names and manners.
